Finally we are at the morph page...the smallest section!
There are very few actual morphs within cresties....so small that there is a disputed two! (bet your glad you didn't go the leopard gecko route now!)
Now, you will notice that one, very famous gecko has not been included on my site....the spectacular Patient Zero, a Pied crestie owned by Matthew Parks from Pangea. Pied in other species shows itself in patches of colour and pattern amongst areas complete devoid of pigment.
So far to date the pied gene has not re shown itself and has failed to prove out as a morph in its own right...alas currently making him a one of a kind and IMO a truly unique paradox.
As promised, the following is going to be minus all that science stuff....this is just a "as is", uncomplicated version. However links have been provided for you to further your understanding if you so wish :)

Axanthic
One of the Holy grail's of cresties currently. This crested gecko is completely devoid of any yellow pigment giving it the appearance of various shade of grey in colour. Originally announced in the UK by a keeper known as MissK, this project now lays and is being advanced by Brian Butler from Altitude Exotics in the states. Axanthics are far from common in the crestie world and i currently do not know of anyone else working with or producing these wonderful Grey cresties! For those interested and wanting updates on the Axanthic project please check out Altitude Exotics Youtube channel, Facebook page and website....Occasionally they have just started to release some Axanthics for sale. |
Lilly White
Founded in the UK by Lilly Exotics the Lilly white is the latest to hit the market making its release in 2016. It has quickly made its mark as one of the most desired morphs and popular within the cresties communities. Visually Lilly Whites express themselves visually with a solid cream-off white dorsal and a high percentage of pattern to the laterals and limbs in the same colour. It is important to note that Lilly White is the name given ONLY to those that have come from or are descended from those originally from Lilly Exotics. Many breeders are now incorporating Lilly white's into a project so it won't be long before these are much more readily available. For more information on the Lilly White project, please visit Lilly Exotics website. Facebook: Lilly Exotics |
